Background
I was born in Stockport, Manchester and when I was five moved to Formby, near Liverpool. I started my professional acting and modelling career in 1985 after graduating from the Birmingham School of Acting. Some of my favourite roles have included the title roles in Willy Russell's 'Shirley Valentine' & 'Educating Rita' and Annie in 'Round and Round the Garden by Alan Ayckbourn. I was also lucky to be in Alan Ayckbourn's original company of 'Woman in Mind' at the Vaudeville Theatre. On TV I have played one of the leads in the series 'Billie - Girl of the Future' for Channel 5 and Karen Dalton in the soap opera ' Brookside' for 3 years.
